1988 classic Amiga game - flight simulators
You could say that Battlehawks 1942 is a simulator like many others, but with one small caveat – only here do we get the chance to fly over the Pacific. Of course, the term "fly around" isn’t entirely accurate, as opponents will make sure our experience isn’t too blissful. The program gives us quite a bit of scope – we can fly under the American flag or with rising sun symbols on our wings, take the controls of a fighter, dive bomber, or torpedo bomber. There are several aircraft types to choose from on both sides, and different mission types, but primarily, we’re focused on attacking enemy ships (or providing cover for bombers carrying out such attacks). The game is quite old, so don’t expect too much from it. However, it has value for those who enjoy a bit of variety in their gameplay. Especially when combined with another Lucasfilm product, Battle of Britain, it provides a good insight into the realities of air warfare during World War II.
