Post-apocalyptic survival for dummiesAmiga games
1988 classic Amiga game - simulators
One of the oldest, but also the best simulation games (well, of course not anymore if you take a hard look at the graphics). In our vast hands we get a warship that is a combination of a small aircraft carrier with amphibious assault ship. On board there are vertical takeoff and landing fighters, amphibious armored vehicles, missiles, giant laser cannon and various gadgets needed in battle. The goal is very simple - to take control over all the islands on the map. Of course, it is not as simple as it sounds, because at the other side of the map similar warship controlled by the villain (namely the computer) also intends to conquer the whole area.
After the invasion of the island, we can leave there a special container, which itself transforms the surface in raw materials plant or equipment factory, or defense installations. Islands together form a network of supply channels, which we can use to restock our inventory. While attacking the enemy island we can destroy everything built on it, or throw a bomb with a computer virus (I know it sounds absurd) to the command center of the island and then all systems go under our control.
The game is very primitive when it comes to graphics (vectors objects, the islands themselves presented in the form of essentially squares), but it gives a wide range of possibilities for both: fans of simulation games, as well as strategic games. We have to cope with the resources we have available, limited fuel and weapons, we must plan next moves so that it ran out of ammunition, fuel, equipment, and at the same time we have to keep up with the movements of the enemy. Classic, a must-see game!
