1991 classic Amiga game - flight simulators
A very original flight simulator, not only because the Russian (and to be exact Soviet) plane is simulated, but also because of the way we use mouse to control the flight (at first it is a bit tricky, but once you get the hand of it the sky is the limit - literally!). That bits gave the game a feeling of freshness and being different from other games. Unfortunately the originality was not coupled with diversity, because we have at our disposal only few missions (eight to be exact), which in general are almost identical. The MiG-29 Fulcrum was designed as a multi-role fighter, so we have both air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles available, but in each mission we actually concentrate on the ground targets at the same time as we have to deal with enemy fighters. On top of that we seem to be operating in different conditions - all the terrain types that were available in the Soviet Union from Siberia to the Caspian Sea and far north, but in fact the difference is just the color of the ground, so it does not make that much of a difference. Generally speaking, a very simple simulator with a limited list of missions and a rather troublesome control - it was not a greatest achievement for humanity kind.
